Lap 1, turn 1. Oscar got an amazing jump off the line and squeezed Max into the first turn. Max promptly ran wide and cut the corner, retaining the lead of the race. Immediately after, a safety car caused a pause in the racing as the stewards deliberated on whether it was a classic first lap incident, or if Max took a bit too much leeway in claiming that he was forced off and taking a shortcut. As you look further up to the top of the painting, I included another papaya-colored bar, as a continuation of the swooping papaya shape at the bottom of the painting. I wanted this to show that Oscar continued on in his pursuit of the lead and jumped Max using an undercut which coincided with Max serving a 5-second penalty.
