Breezy palms, hairpin turns, and Max defending against Oscar on the inside. The repetitive circle motifs within the painting represent the battle for the lead that lasted for the first 15 laps of the race. Max knew right where to place his car to make passing as difficult as possible, but Oscar eventually found a way around. McLaren were unmatched in Miami and I wanted the papaya orange to be a focal point of the piece.
